Before becoming a Realtor, I had more than a decade of experience in the field of metal optics. I was managing the production and sale of materials requiring the highest levels of precision and reliability, ranging from guidance systems for M1A1 tanks and Mars land rover to night vision goggles and precision barcode scanner mirrors. I feel precision and reliability are especially important traits for Realtors, and I think I’ve got those traits in ample supply.
Today, I’m taking many of the skills I developed and honed when I was in metal optics and applying them to my residential real estate sales. I really believe that whether I’m putting together an M1A1 tank or putting together a plan to negotiate the sale or purchase of a house, the same reliability is required and expected. When I worked at MRC Precision Metal Optics in Sarasota – first as a Production Supervisor and later as Production Manager – I had to organize and coordinate high- technology engineering projects in extremely competitive environments while maintaining the highest quality standards and meeting stringent deadlines. I also dealt with contracts and contentious sales, talking to and with very analytical people (engineers) and negotiating prices.
About 6 years ago, I left high-tech and moved into finance and real estate. With my background in high-tech business management and the MBA I earned from Argosy University (in addition to a B.A. degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida), I became an expert in equity markets, providing investment strategies for clients at Multifocus Concepts (Parrish, FL) as an Investment Portfolio Manager.
As a Realtor, I bring in all my business experience as well as my devotion to trust, reliability and meeting the needs of my clients, to help people wanting to buy or sell their home in either Manatee County or Hillsborough County. I have lived here for over 35 years along with my wife and two children and love the area’s quietness and its neighborly, genuine residents.
